Xavier, 25 years old, goes to Barcelona to finish his degree in economics and learn Spanish. A friend of his father has promised him a job at the French Ministry of Finance, provided that he becomes fluent in the Iberian language. But to do all of that, he has to leave his girlfriend Martine, with whom he has spent the last four years. In Spain, Xavier looks for a place to live and eventually moves into shared accommodation with seven roommates, each from a different country.

Xavier, un jeune homme de vingt-cinq ans, part à Barcelone pour terminer ses études en économie et apprendre l’espagnol. Cette langue est nécessaire pour occuper un poste, que lui promet un ami de son père, au ministère des finances. Mais pour ce faire, il doit quitter sa petite amie Martine, avec qui il vit depuis quatre ans. En Espagne, Xavier cherche un logement et trouve finalement un appartement dans le centre de Barcelone qu’il compte partager avec sept autres personnes. Chacun de ses co-locataires est originaire d’un pays différent.

Synopsis du film :
Les jumelles Delphine et Solange, professeures de danse et de musique, rêvent de la grande ville. Lorsqu’une foire s’arrête dans leur tranquille petite bourgade portuaire, elles y voient l’occasion de s’en échapper.
